Math Solver

Math Solver from an Image

Type a question, paste an image, get a step-by-step solution.

How it works

  1. Sign in with Google or Discord. It's free.

  2. Attach a photo or screenshot of the problem, or paste a screenshot straight into the input box. PDF and Word files work too.

  3. The solver turns the image into text and formulas and shows "Here's what I read". Correct anything it misread, then send.

  4. You get the solution in numbered steps, ending with the final answer. Ask about any step, as you would an AI math tutor.

Why it shows what it read

A misread minus sign or exponent gives a confident answer to the wrong problem. Showing the reading first means the problem that gets solved is the one on your page.

Tips for a clean photo

  • One problem per photo, cropped close.
  • Even light, no shadow across the page.
  • Hold the camera straight above the page.
  • In handwriting, make exponents and fraction bars clear.

What it can read

  • Printed textbooks and worksheets, including word problems
  • Handwriting
  • Screenshots from a screen or an online assignment
  • PDF pages and Word documents

Questions students ask

Do I need an account?

For photos and files, yes; signing in is free. Typing or dictating a problem into the AI Math Solver works without one.

Is my photo stored?

No. The image is turned into text when you upload it, and only that text is kept with the chat.

What if it misreads my handwriting?

Edit the text it shows before you send. Nothing is solved until you confirm.
